Cynlluniau adfywio’r promenâd – adborth o gyfarfodydd rhanddeiliaid

Teimlai'r Cyngor yn gryf, ac roedd yn hynod siomedig nad oedd ymgysylltu wedi digwydd ac, roedd yn ymddangos, bod penderfyniadau eisoes wedi'u gwneud.

Nododd y Cyngor bod angen i unrhyw newidiadau fod o fewn cyd-destun adolygiad parcio. Roedd angen agwedd gyfannol hefyd gan gynnwys ystyried syniadau megis cau rhai strydoedd cul yn yr hen dref i draffig am resymau diogelwch, a darparu parcio i fyfyrwyr ar gampws y Brifysgol.

Promenade revitalisation plans – stakeholder meeting feedback

Council felt strongly, and was extremely disappointed that engagement had not taken place and, it seemed, that decisions had already been made.

The Council noted that any changes needed to be within the context of a parking review. A holistic approach was also needed including consideration of ideas such as closure of some narrow streets in the old town to traffic for reasons of safety, and student parking to be provided on campus by the University.
