Aberystwyth Town Council\u2019s regular income comes from its precept, which is collected through Council Tax in the Aberystwyth precept area (see map). The precept is set annually, according to the annual budget used to manage the Council\u2019s expenditure. The Council spends on things such as staff & a public facing office, parks, playgrounds, green spaces, events, markets and Christmas lights. It also runs an annual Community Grants scheme, which distributes grants to local community groups and organisations.<\/p>\n

Aberystwyth Town Council supplements its income with various grant applications which support new and existing projects, such as Parc Kronberg which was funded by a Big Lottery grant application.<\/p>\n
