Initial funding application for the Parc Kronberg Regeneration Scheme is successful.

An initial funding application to the Big Lottery for the Parc Kronberg Regeneration Scheme has been approved, and Aberystwyth Town Council is now invited to submit a final application.

The Parc Kronberg Regeneration Scheme will transform the existing skatepark and surrounding area of wasteland into a community space that incorporates a skateable area, walkways, bike paths, community seating and wildlife habitats.

The Big Lottery awarded a Capital Development Grant to Aberystwyth Town Council in May 2013, which contributed towards planning and design costs. The project now has full planning permission for an innovative design that was achieved through extensive community consultation. If successful the park could be built by the end of 2016.
