A220777: Clwb Pêl Droed Aberystwyth
Mewn ymateb i gwestiynau gan gynghorwyr ynghylch y cynllun cyffredinol ar gyfer y Clwb Pêl-droed, rhoddodd Donald Kane, Cadeirydd CPD Aberystwyth drosolwg o'r datblygiadau a oedd yn cynnwys darparu ystafelloedd newid addas, yn enwedig o ystyried y diddordeb gan chwaraewyr benywaidd - mae gan y clwb ar hyn o bryd 180 o ferched yn cymryd rhan.
Roedd y cae 4G yn ased enfawr ac wedi cynyddu oriau chwarae i 55 yr wythnos. Roedd timau Ewropeaidd wedi chwarae yn Aberystwyth oherwydd y cae pob tywydd.
Esboniodd fod unrhyw ddatblygiad yn amodol ar gyllid gan arwain at ddull cam wrth gam. Y cam cyntaf oedd adeiladu’r ystafelloedd newid (roedd UEFA yn buddsoddi llawer o arian mewn pêl-droed merched) ac yna newid y stadiwm a oedd yn 137 mlwydd oed. Byddai'r cynllun i godi mwy o fflatiau yn ariannu'r stadiwm newydd. Holwyd os fyddai clwb a bar caffi teras cyhoeddus yn edrych dros yr afon yn cael eu cynnwys yn y cynlluniau ac os y byddai'r fflatiau arfaethedig yn cael eu cynnig ar werth - gan y byddent yn ddelfrydol fel opsiynau i bobl hŷn o ran symud i le llai of faint er enghraifft.
Eglurodd Donald Kane fod materion fel newid y llifoleuadau am rai mwy synhwyrol hefyd yn amodol ar gyllid.
Y nod yn y pen draw oedd rhedeg clwb pêl-droed llwyddiannus a rhoi Aberystwyth ar y map. Roedd tîm pêl-droed Aberystwyth eisoes yn y gynghrair orau yng Nghymru.
Roedd y berthynas gyda'r Brifysgol hefyd yn bwysig i'r clwb.

A220777: Aberystwyth Football Club
In response to councillor questions regarding the overall plan for the Football Club, Donald Kane the Chairman of Aberystwyth FC provided an overview of developments which included providing suitable changing rooms, especially in view of interest from female players - the club currently has 180 participating girls.
The 4G pitch was a huge asset increasing play hours to 55 per week. European teams had played at Aberystwyth due to the all weather pitch.
He explained that any development was subject to funding resulting in a step by step approach. The first step was building the changing rooms (UEFA were investing a lot of money in women’s football) and then replacing the stadium which was 137 years old. The plan to build more flats would fund the new stadium. Councillors inquired whether a clubhouse and public terrace cafe bar overlooking the river would be included in the plans and whether the proposed flats would be offered for sale - as they would be ideal as downsizing options for older people.
Donald Kane explained that issues such as changing the floodlights for more discreet ones was also subject to funding.
The ultimate aim was to run a successful football club and put Aberystwyth on the map. The Aberystwyth football team was already in the best league in Wales.
The relationship with the University was also important to the club.

Ysgol Gymraeg
Mae’r Cyngor Tref yn llwyr gefnogi adeiladu bloc dosbarth newydd a dymchwel yr unedau dros dro presennol, fodd bynnag:
