210 Cyflwyniad: Cerflun Angel Cyllyll – Comisiynydd Heddlu Dyfed Powys

 

Eglurodd Dafydd Llywelyn, y Comisiynydd, gefndir y cerflun Angel Cyllyll. Roedd ei ymweliad cyntaf â Chymru yn y Drenewydd yn 2020. Roedd gweithgarwch cysylltiedig yn cynnwys ysgolion a grwpiau lleol ac yn gorffen gydag wylnos a gorymdaith.

 

PENDERFYNWYD cefnogi ymweliad yr Angel Cyllyll ag Aberystwyth ym mis Mai ac anfon llythyr o gefnogaeth.

 Presentation: Knife Angel sculpture – Dyfed Powys Police Commissioner

 

Dafydd Llywelyn, the Police Commissioner explained the background to the Knife Angel sculpture. Its first visit to Wales was in Newtown in 2020.  Supporting activity involved schools and local groups and terminated with a vigil and procession.

 

It was RESOLVED to support the Knife Angel’s visit to Aberystwyth in May and to send a letter of support.

  • Roedd y Cyng Alun Williams a’r Cyng Mari Turner wedi beirniadu ffenestri siopau Dydd Gŵyl Dewi ac yn y Parêd roedd y Maer wedi cyflwyno Robat ac Enid Gruffydd fel westeion arbennig y Parêd. Roeddent yn cael eu hanrhydeddu am eu cyfraniad i’r byd cyhoeddi. Roedd hefyd wedi mynychu cinio Rotari Ardal Aber.

Diolchodd i’w gyd-gynghorwyr a’r Clerc am eu cyfraniadau. Diolchodd y cynghorwyr i Alun am ei waith rhagorol fel Maer.

  • Roedd y Cyng Dylan Wilson-Lewis yn ymddeol a nododd pa mor falch ydoedd o weld y Cyngor yn mynd o nerth i nerth ar ôl prynu eiddo a chynyddu aelodau staff. Mynegodd y Cyng Talat Chaudhri hefyd gymaint yr oedd wedi mwynhau bod yn rhan o’r cyngor penodol hwn, a faint a gyflawnwyd.

  • Cllr Alun Williams and Cllr Mari Turner had judged the St David’s Day shop windows and at the Parade the Mayor had introduced Robat and Enid Gruffydd as the special Parade guests. They were being honoured for their contribution to publishing. He had also attended the Ardal Aber Rotary lunch.

He thanked fellow councillors and the Clerk for their contributions.  Councillors thanked Alun for his excellent work as Mayor.

  • Cllr Dylan Wilson-Lewis was retiring and noted how pleased he was to see the Council going from strength to strength having bought premises and increasing staff capacity. Cllr Talat Chaudhri also expressed how much he had enjoyed being part of this particular council, and how much had been achieved.

It was RESOLVED to approve the expenditure and that the Clerk and signatories would make routine and grant payments during purdah as well as progress electronic banking arrangements. The Clerk would send electronic copies of the expenditure.

 

It was crucial that translation be ensured for the meetings following the election.

218.1 Gŵyl tyfu bwyd: roedd partneriaid amrywiol yn awyddus i drefnu gŵyl ym Maes Gwenfrewi ym mis Mehefin. Byddai’r Cyngor yn hwyluso’r fenter. Food growing festival: various partners were keen to organise a festival in Maes Gwenfrewi in June. Council would facilitate the initiative.
