Rhoddodd Yr Athro Mererid Hopwood amlinelliad byr o ddynodiad UNESCO a gofynnodd am gefnogaeth y Cyngor Tref er mwyn galluogi ymchwiliad pellach i gyflawni’r dynodiad ar gyfer Aberystwyth. Cytunwyd bod y dref mewn sefyllfa dda i wneud cais, ac fe BENDERFYNWYD cefnogi ymchwiliad pellach.

Prof. Mererid Hopwood provided a brief outline of the UNESCO designation and asked for the Town Council’s support in order to enable further investigation into achieving the designation for Aberystwyth.  It was agreed that the town was very well placed to apply, and it was RESOLVED to support further investigation.

• Enw newydd: PENDERFYNWYD fabwysiadu Neuadd Gwenfrewi fel enw newydd i’r eglwys oherwydd ei fod gyda chyswllt hanesyddol, yn enw adnabyddus ac yn addas ar gyfer adeilad dinesig.

• Is-bwyllgor: byddai cyfarfod arbennig o’r Pwyllgor Rheoli Cyffredinol yn cael ei gynnull.

• A new name: It was RESOLVED to adopt Neuadd Gwenfrewi as a new name for the church buildings because of its historic link, its familiarity and its appropriateness for a civic building.

• Sub- committee: a special meeting of the General Management Committee would be convened.

• Cyfarfodydd Awst: PENDERFYNWYD cynnal cyfarfodydd arbennig yn ystod mis Awst os oedd angen i drafod dyfynbrisiau ar gyfer gwaith yn y parc

Yn dilyn adborth gan staff sy’n gweithio gyda phlant sy’n byw gydag anableddau, PENDERFYNWYD prynu eu cylchdro dewisol er ei fod yn ddrytach. Dylid chwilio am gyllid grant cyn prynu’r offer.

Following feedback from staff working with children living with disabilities, it was RESOLVED to purchase their preferred roundabout even though it was more expensive.  Grant funding should be sought before purchase.

PENDERFYNWYD rhoi £1500 yr un i Bartneriaethau Gefeillio Kronberg ac Esquel

It was RESOLVED to give Kronberg and Esquel Twinning Partnerships £1500 each

PENDERFYNWYD gwella’r contract TG presennol er mwyn cyflawni gwefan gwbl hygyrch a chyflogi Dirprwy Glerc / Clerc dan hyfforddiant llawn amser neu ran amser.

It was RESOLVED to enhance the existing IT contract in order to achieve a fully accessible website and to employ a full time or part time Deputy/Trainee Clerk.

PENDERFYNWYD rhoi £4000 iddynt o’r dyraniad grant cymunedol

It was RESOLVED to give them £4000 from the community grant allocation

Cadarnhawyd bod y rhain yn brosiect cymeradwy gan y Cyngor. PENDERFYNWYD talu am y batri a’r padiau newydd ac ymchwilio i asiantaethau a allai ddarparu profion rheolaidd.

It was confirmed that these were an approved Council project. It was RESOLVED to pay for the new battery and pads and to investigate whether there were agencies who could provide regular testing.

Oherwydd ei bwysigrwydd hanesyddol, PENDERFYNWYD ymchwilio i gost adnewyddu a chysylltu â Ceredigion gyda’r bwriad o’i fabwysiadu os oes angen.

Due to its historic importance, it was RESOLVED to investigate the cost of refurbishment and to contact Ceredigion with a view to adoption if necessary.

Oherwydd prinder mannau gwyrdd yng nghanol y dref, PENDERFYNWYD cysylltu â’r Brifysgol ynghylch caniatáu mynediad cymunedol i gaeau Ficerdy a darparu pyst gôl. Byddai’r Cyngor Tref yn barod i ystyried darparu cymorth cyllido pe bai angen.

Due to the shortage of green space in the town centre it was RESOLVED to contact the University regarding allowing community access to Vicarage fields and to provide goal posts. The Town Council would be willing to consider providing funding support if necessary.

PENDERFYNWYD rhyddhau’r cyllid y cytunwyd arno eisoes o £5000 yn amodol ar y digwyddiad yn cael ei gynnal. Dylent gyfathrebu â swyddfa’r cyngor tref i sicrhau bod yr holl gynghorwyr yn cael gwybod am ddatblygiadau.

It was RESOLVED to release the already agreed funding of £5000 subject to the event taking place. They should communicate with the town council office to ensure all councillors were informed of developments.

PENDERFYNWYD atal y Rheolau Sefydlog ac i ymestyn y cyfarfod o 15 munud

It was RESOLVED to suspend Standing Orders and to extend the meeting by 15 minutes

PENDERFYNWYD cefnogi Cyngor Nefyn ac ysgrifennu at Lywodraeth Cymru ynghylch yr anghyfiawnder sylweddol rhwng cenedlaethau yn y diffyg cartrefi fforddiadwy i bobl leol – yn enwedig mewn ardaloedd arfordirol.

It was RESOLVED to support Nefyn Council and to write to the Welsh Government regarding the significant intergenerational injustice in the lack of affordable homes for local people – especially in coastal areas.

PENDERFYNWYD cefnogi Waunfawr yn eu cais am statws Glasdir Pentref ond nodwyd hefyd mai penderfyniad i’r cyngor cymunedol lleol oedd hwn a dylid parchu eu penderfyniad

Aberystwyth Town Council RESOLVED to support Waunfawr in their bid for Village Green status but also noted that this was a decision for the local community council and their decision should be respected.
