It was RESOLVED to approve the minutes

1. 40.5: Troseddau cysylltiedig â chyffuriau. Byddai’r Cadeirydd yn cysylltu eto â Chomisiynydd yr Heddlu. Nodwyd bod yr heddlu’n cymryd camau pendant a bod angen dull cymunedol.

Roedd arwyddion maes parcio’r rhandiroedd wedi’u harchebu a byddent yn cael eu rhoi i fyny yn fuan.

1. 40.5: Drug related crime. The Chairman would contact the Police Commissioner again. It was noted that the police were taking assertive action and that a community approach was needed.

The allotment car park signage had been ordered and would be put in place shortly.

Roedd baner fertigol yn cael ei harchebu’n lleol a byddai cymaint o ieithoedd â phosib yn ymddangos

A vertical banner was being ordered locally and as many languages as possible would be featured.

Darparwyd gwybodaeth o ran maint a gofynion mynediad. PENDERFYNWYD edrych ar faes parcio’r rhandir fel lleoliad posibl. Roedd angen mwy o wybodaeth ynghylch a fyddai’n denu llygod ffyrnig ai peidio, a dylid ei drafod gyda’r Gymdeithas Rhandiroedd.

Information was provided in terms of size and access requirements, and it was RESOLVED to explore the allotment car park as a possible location. More information was needed about whether or not it would attract vermin, and it should be discussed with the Allotment Association.

To match the existing fence would be of a value that required three quotes. It was RESOLVED to provide the quotes by the September meeting

PENDERFYNWYD gadw’r meysydd chwarae ar gau, gan nad oedd yn ddiogel eu hailagor eto. Byddai’r Cynghorwyr Alun Williams a Charlie Kingsbury yn paratoi datganiad i’r wasg yn amlinellu’r rhesymau ac yn awgrymu dewisiadau amgen.

Councillors RESOLVED to keep the playgrounds closed, as it was not yet safe to re-open them. Cllrs Alun Williams and Charlie Kingsbury would prepare a press release outlining the reasons and suggesting alternatives.

Roedd arwyddion ‘Rhaid cadw pob ci ar dennyn’ wedi cael eu archebu ond dylid ymchwilio i bwerau gorfodi hefyd. Roedd angen sgwrs gyda’r heddlu i weld pa gamau y gallent, neu yr oeddent yn barod i’w cymryd, gan fod baeddu cŵn yn broblem ar draws y dref yn gyffredinol.

‘All dogs must be kept on leads’ signage had been ordered but enforcement powers should also be investigated. A conversation with the police was needed to see what action they could, or were prepared to take, as dog fouling was an issue across town generally.

PENDERFYNWYD yn unfrydol cefnogi’r cynnig, i ddileu hiliaeth mewn sefydliadau addysgol, gyda rhai newidiadau, a’r camau gweithredu canlynol:

• Bod sesiynau Ymwybyddiaeth ar Hiliaeth yn cael eu cynnal ym mhob sefydliad addysgol yn ardal Aberystwyth ar gyfer yr holl ddisgyblion, myfyrwyr a staff.

• Cynghorwyr sy’n cynrychioli Cyngor Tref Aberystwyth ar fyrddau llywodraethu ysgolion i ddod â hyn ymlaen yn eu priod gyfarfodydd lle maent yn llywodraethwyr.
• Ysgrifennu llythyr i adran Addysg Cyngor Sir Ceredigion, y Brifysgol ac ERW yn eu hannog nhw i gynnal sesiynau Ymwybyddiaeth ar Hiliaeth.

• Y Cyngor Tref i gyhoeddi datganiad yn rhoi enghreifftiau o hiliaeth llechwraidd

It was RESOLVED unanimously to support the motion to eradicate racism within educational institutions, with some amendments, and the following actions:

• That Race Awareness sessions take place in all educational institutions in the Aberystwyth area for all pupils, students, and staff.

• Councillors who represent Aberystwyth Town Council on the school governing boards to bring this forward at their respective meetings where they are governors.
• Write a letter to the education department at Ceredigion County Council, the University and ERW urging them to organise Race Awareness sessions.
• The Town Council to publish a statement giving examples of insidious racism

It was felt that local charities should be supported, and it was therefore RESOLVED to invite Hospice at Home to the meeting in September
